Infant Community – The Nido
What is a Nido? The Nido, Italian word for “nest”, is a warm, homelike environment where infants are respected, cared for and given the opportunity to develop independently. Everything in this nurturing environment is child-sized, from the beautiful furniture, to the shelves, plates and utensils used by the children. The infant’s are free to explore and learn in a safe atmosphere with loving, attentive, highly-trained adults supporting them.

Our infant care program is based on the belief in the "whole child" approach to development. The activities in our infant community meet the child’s need for cognitive development, social skills, emotional growth, and physical coordination. Each child’s own rhythm and individual requirement for sleeping, eating and active times are provided for. We serve families throughout the greater Portland area including West Linn, Lake Oswego, Wilsonville, Oregon City and Tualatin.
