Heart Centered Montessori uses the philosophy of education established by Dr. Maria Montessori in Rome over a century ago. Dr. Montessori discovered that children, treated with respect and given the freedom to explore and learn in a stimulating, culturally rich environment where their developmental needs are uniquely provided for, will flourish and grow a deep love of learning, gain self-confidence and self-esteem, and develop as individuals. The skilled teachers at our preschool will address every stage or ‘sensitive period’ of development for each child by observing them in our thoughtfully prepared environment and then providing for them the learning materials and guidance they need.
